Well, 10-hours of actively attacking German have now passed. In short, I’m happy with my progress up until now and have motivation and momentum coming out of my proverbial.

A little bit delayed in posting this, but the 5-hour mark in my German quest is up.

Just a short note on confidence builders in the last week.
I’ve been chatting a little with Koreans on several sites (mostly sharedtalk; no link because I don’t really like the site) recently to try to add variety to how I approach some pretty typical topics of an intermediate nature; nothing overly complicated. Things like lifestyles, family, interests, travel, etc. Stuff that you will talk about with people all the time… nice conversation starters, those kind of things.

The last two days have been a bit of an anomaly when you look at my time back in Australia. I do have a fair amount of chance to practice Korean in Perth, but due to being busy with research and having a family life, this isn’t all that realistic. However, the last two days have been pretty interesting and given me some confidence since it’s nice to know that my Korean isn’t vanishing into thin air while I’m here… even though I’m not the most diligent Korean student in the world.
